The Mission of LeaderTreks The church is one generation away from being out of leaders. Today most churches are simply hoping for new leadership to show up at their door. At LeaderTreks we believe there is another approach - an intentional program to develop students into the future church leaders, through experiences students love. It’s a win - win. We take students on adventurous mission and wilderness trips and use every aspect of the trip to teach leadership. Students love the challenge, missionaries love the resources, youth pastors love the growth, and students begin to see how God has gifted them for leadership in His kingdom. It’s not a short cut to leadership; it’s a long-term process that has the potential to change our church and culture. This is why LeaderTreks is calling the church to make leadership development a core of youth ministry. We are partnering with youth pastors to give them the tools they need to shape and mold the next generation of leaders. Youth Pastors, the future leaders of the church are in your youth group.
