Who We Are Looking For

Type of Person

Since 2003 LeaderTreks has been offering a small group of college graduates the opportunity to be developed as leaders through our Summit Leadership Training. The idea is simple; invite elite college grads and pour our lives into them for the purpose of developing a new generation of leaders who will impact youth ministry for years to come. We share everything we know about leadership, ministry, and life.

This ministry is conducive for those who resonate with our Five Shared Values.  We cannot emphasize this enough.  This ministry demands you to be highly relational, to be a great facilitator, to be able to debrief a myriad of experiences, to handle multi-tasking, and to be able to think critically.  If you are looking to invest into others and to be invested in, chances are, LeaderTreks will be right up your alley.

LT’s Expectations of You

  • 100% IN, 100% EFFORT:

Every employee at LeaderTreks needs to be completely bought in to the vision and mission of the organization.  We expect you to always support LeaderTreks when talking to other staff, supporters, and customers.  We also need to be consistent in everything we do.  Disagreements about policies and decisions will happen but need to be dealt with through open communication.  We expect you to live a life of excellence ( We expect you to work as hard as you can in everything you do.  It takes 100 % effort to help you to be transformational in the way you act, speak, and live.

  • Disciplined:

While much of your time is spent working in a team setting, many instances arrive that demand a solo effort to be put into a particular project or study. LeaderTreks is a great place to work because of the trust we give away to our employees, yet diligence and a proactive spirit are required within this. It takes much thinking, practice, studying, and research to be knowledgeable and transformational in the lives of youth pastors and students.

  • Teachable Spirit:

LeaderTreks expects every staff member to display a teachable spirit.  We recognize that none of us have “arrived” yet and we all have much to learn.  LeaderTreks’ mission and culture is unique.  We want you to know it well.  It is essential for everyone to be teachable during their time at LT.  Pride leads to destruction and humility leads to honor.

  • Honest Communication:

We place a high value on honest, open communication.  We will make it a priority to be clear and honest in our evaluation of you.  We expect that you will do the same in communicating with us.  Honest communication is the bedrock of strong working relationships.  Trust is hard to obtain with the absence of honest communication.

  • Ownership:

At LT, we love how each individual has been wired and how their personality and values fit into our environment. If you don’t make the job your own, you will struggle, fail, and will not enjoy it. We want you to lead within your giftedness and personality, while staying consistent within our program.   You are uniquely wired and gifted.  Bring that to the table.
