Personal Summary
I grew up in Plain City, Ohio, which is a small town just west of Columbus. I went to public schools growing up and after graduation I went to Indiana Wesleyan University. I graduated with two degrees. One in recreation management and the other in sports management. In my fourth year of college is when I really started my relationship with Christ. During spring break I went on a missions trip to Guatemala. Then and there is when I fell in love with missions. After my fourth year I worked at an FCA camp as an intern. During that summer God built a desire in me to serve others and try to make an impact in student's lives. These experiences that God led me through showed me that I needed to be doing ministry where I could work with students and impact The Kingdom.
1)HOW DID YOU BECOME A CHRISTIAN? I always understood the concept of what it took to be a Christian and how to do it, but I didn't make it real until my fourth year of college. I saw something in my friends and others that I didn't have and realized that I was missing out on having a relationship with Christ. At that point I accepted Christ into my life and made it my own.
2) WHY LEADERTREKS? God built up a desire in me to be involved with missions and students and share with them what I have learned about Christ and what it takes to live out a relationship with Him day to day. I have seen and experienced that LeaderTreks does an amazing job impacting students lives in a way that will forever change them.
3) WHAT AUTHORS DO YOU READ? There's not one in particular. I like Bruce Wilkerson.
4) WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST LEADERSHIP LESSON? Seeing my friends and family living out the life God has called them to. They have led by example in outstanding ways and have made me want to do the same.
5) WHAT IS YOUR PASSION? Serving others and sharing what God has shown and taught me.
6) WHAT PERSON HAS INFLUENCED YOU MOST? My friend from Indiana Wesleyan. She has challenged and invested in me in ways that have made me want to become a better person in Christ. God has used that relationship to not allow me to settle for mediocrity.
