Ministry Partners Development Overview

About LeaderTreks Mission Trips

LeaderTreks offers five levels of trips to churches, Christian schools, and individuals in North America. The trips give students practical opportunities to develop leadership skills. Typical teams consist of 12 to 20 students plus 2 to 4 LeaderTreks staff.

On each trip, LeaderTreks attempts to fill a need of the local ministry partner. LeaderTreks' desire is to value their ministry partners, and not be a burden to them.

Goal of LeaderTreks Mission Trips

LeaderTreks exists to create Christian Leaders who can fulfill the Great Commission.

LeaderTreks' History

LeaderTreks is an evangelical ministry seeking to create wholly committed disciples of Jesus Christ who will become leaders for tomorrow's church. LeaderTreks was founded in 1994 by Doug Franklin. The original name, Adventures in Student Missions, was changed to LeaderTreks to more accurately reflect the mission. This year, LeaderTreks will lead hundreds of trips for church youth groups, Christian schools, and individuals. The youth serve at mission sites, wilderness sites, or adventure sites (featuring both wilderness and mission components).
